CNC Programmer – 5 axis mill / turn, 3 axis milling, medical Looking for a growing company with outstanding benefits. Our client has 100% paid healthcare, dental and vision for their family plan. They also match dollar for dollar up to 7% on their 401(K). We are searching or a solid machinist / CNC programmer in the pre production area to assist in processing and process improvements. This position involves running pre production testing of tool packages, tool coatings and fixtures to optimize processes. The CNC Programmer will focus on process improvements and document test results. Knowledge of speeds, feeds, cutting tools and the ability to develop ideas to reduce cycletimes is a must. The programmer will specify and procure special cutting tools and fixtures to improve machining processes. Past experience developing processes for titanium and/or exotic alloys is preferred. Interested candidates will need experience using a cam software package, solid modeling experience is preferred. Multi axis turning and milling is required. The cnc programmer will train production machinist on new machining strategies and may also support the shop floor on machining issues. Experience with diagnosing tooling, fixture, programming and machine tool problems is preferred. Past experience in the medial device or small close tolerance machined components is also preferred. This is a unique position working in the engineering and pre production machining area. The position is ideal for candidates working towards an engineering position. Our client pays for continuing education and offers a great opportunity outside of production. MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of CNC lathe and mill set up, 5 years of cnc multi axis programming and past experience developing processes on small close tolerance components.
