Manufacturing Engineer high volume, production machining, CNC, manual A growing division of a major corporation offers state of the art technology, automation and a world class manufacturing environment. The division is well into their Lena journey and strive for continuous improvement. We are searching for Manufacturing Engineers with direct experience in high volume machining. Knowledge of production machining such as CNC lathes, CNC mills, mil/turn, multi-tasking machines, swiss lathes, multiple spindle lathes, Trunnion / Dial / rotary transfer machining, CNC screw machines or other types of production machining equipment. Knowledge of manual or CAM generated CNC programming is preferred, but not required. Manufacturing Engineer will need the ability to calculate feeds, speeds, cycle times, chip loads and material usage. Past experience designing special cutting tools, fixtures and work holding devise is needed. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop the entire process from raw material to finished component. The ideal candidate will need good problem solving skills and ability to support shop floor operations. Engineers with past experience reducing cost, cycle times, set up times, and quality defects are preferred. Formal training in Lean or Six Sigma is a plus. Our client will consider Manufacturing Engineer with engineering degrees or experience. Strong project management is needed. MSUT HAVE: a minimum of 4 years of high volume production machining on CNC and/or manual equipment. Knowledge of speeds, feeds, cutting tool applications, work holding and machining technology is needed. Practical hands on experience is a plus.
