Swiss CNC Programmer A division of a growing corporation producing medical devices continues to invest in capital equipment and hire. This division is in a low cost of living area with affordable homes and good schools. We are searching for a Swiss CNC Programmers to process, program and prove out new repeatable machining methods. The Swiss CNC Programmer interprets drawings / solid models to develop the best method for manufacturing. This position involves selecting the most efficient machine tool, calculating cycle times, specifying cutting tools, collets, guide bushings and holders. The swiss CNC programmer will generate CNC code to optimize the processes. Past experience using cam software such as Esprit or Partmaker is preferred, but not required. Interested candidates with experience creating macro B programs for families of parts or common operations is a plus. Swiss CNC Programmers will need good math skills using algebra and trigonometry. Past experience documenting set up sheets, tool lists and work instructions is needed. The ideal candidate will have direct experience on Marubeni Citizen L and M series CNC swiss lathes. Other brands of swiss lathes will be considered. Training will be provided to the right candidate, if needed. The Swiss CNC Programmer will also work on continuous improvements of CNC programs, tooling and processes. Past experience reducing cycle time, set up time, tool cost and tool changes is a plus. Interested candidates will need solid CNC programming, processing, set up and troubleshooting skills. Past experience working in a medical device, ISO-13485 and FDA machining environment is a plus. Knowledge of precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges and indicators is needed. Good computer written and verbal communication skills are required. MUST HAVE: 5 plus years of CNC programming, processing and set up skills directly on swiss CNC lathes. Knowledge of cam software is a plus. Direct experience on Citizen swiss lathes is preferred, but not required. Strong math skills is a must.
